  "Ready for Action"

Two of Gresleys masterpieces, 60017 "Silver Fox" and 60030 "Golden Fleece" being prepared for departures outside Gateshead shed in 1962. Painted in 1989, and became my first limited edition print, of which there are still some available.

"Southern Sunset"

Bulleid's masterpieces hurtled along the LSWR main line well into 1967. During one of those mid-60s evenings 35027 "Port Line" is seen speeding through Fleet. Painted in 1990, this painting was the first to feature what has become a trademark - 3 seagulls - which actually started as an accident - I had already painted the sunset, and whilst I was painting black, I dropped the brush, which rolled across the sunset ! This picture is available as a limited edition print.

  "Bahamas at Holbeck "

During a sunny summer afternoon in 1959, Jubilee class 4-6-0 No.45596 is undergoing some minor repairs in Holbeck's roundhouse. She is flanked by Britannia class 4-6-2 No. 70029, far from her home of Cardiff Canton shed. Painted in 1991, and still available as a limited edition print.

"Sir Nigel Gresley"

A4 pacific No.60007 sits outside the test area at Rugby in the early 60s. Quite an early work this one, painted in 1987, using gouache, before I discovered acrylics !
